Scott is the founder and managing member of SGL Group, LLC a financial advisory firm located in San Francisco, California that specializes in M&A consulting services and valuations of complex securities and capital structures. Prior to this, he was a Vice President at CapitalWorks, LLC, a small and micro cap investment fund. Prior to CapitalWorks, he spent eight years managing mergers, acquisitions, joint venture investments and venture capital investments as an investment banker for Instream Partners in San Francisco and Carleton, McCreary, Holmes & Co. in Cleveland, and as an employee of several operating companies, including KPMG Consulting and Telxon Corporation, a public company since acquired by Symbol Technologies.

Mr. Gezymalla is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Certified Public Accountant and holds an Accredited in Business Valuation credential from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Gezymalla holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University.

In addition to completing valuations for financial reporting purposes, Scott is has a keen understanding of the unique capital structures found in venture-backed companies; he is well versed in private equity and venture capital financing structure details and he has an excellent grasp of complex finance concepts.
